Linda K's Astrophotography Page

I am probably the most amateur of astrophotographers, but I must admit that I am really enjoying the challenge of trying to capture what I see! As most astrophotographers suggest, I began experimenting with taking pictures of the moon. My next experiment involved trying to get pictures of sunspots. I have managed to get a few shots of Venus. I am always trying to add to this collection. Mercury and Saturn have presented me with a real challenge!

All of the pictures that you see so far on these pages have been taken by the simplest of methods. I hold my little Sony Cyber-shot digital camera up to the eyepiece of the telescope, cross my fingers, and snap away! Some of the pictures were taken using my Meade ETX-70 telescope, while others, like the first four sunspots pictures, were taken through the Fayetteville State University telescope. I have recently been collecting links to some great astrophotography sites on the Web.

I hope that you will come back often, as I plan on updating these photo pages frequently!
