For Our Junior Astronomers
Want to make your own starfinder? It's easy to make, and easy to use! For best results, print or copy both parts of the starfinder on card stock paper. Cut the holder and the wheel holder out along the lines. Fold the wheel holder in half along the line provided, then glue or tape the tabs on the holder together. Place the wheel inside of the holder. To find out what the sky looks like on a particular date and time, match the date on the wheel with the time on the holder. This star finder is set up to be used at approximately 40° N latitude, so it is fairly accurate for North Carolina.
