The Heart Preview Gallery - The Franklin Institute Science Museum has an amazing compilation of information about the heart, including an on-line tour through the heart and blood vessels. In addition, there are some hands-on activities that anyone can do at home as well as some nifty tests to determine how much you know about the various cardiovascular topics.
Blood Typing - This site describes the ABO blood types, the relation of ethnicity to blood types, and donors and recipients. It also has a cool game that you can play to identify blood types.
LUMEN Histology Slide Series: Blood and Capillaries - This site is a slide show with photomicrographs of various blood cells and descriptions.
Virtual Anatomy Textbook: The Lymphatic System - This outstanding site provides basic information about the various organs of the lymphatic system: functions, histology, diagrams, everything about it! Be sure to visit all of the link sites listed at the bottom of this main page.
The Respiratory System - This brief page from the Franklin Institute gives a description of the respiratory system and its functions.
The Human Respiratory System - This site is a more in-depth discussion of the respiratory system. Follow the links to pages with information on different types of respiration as well as the different structures that make up the respiratory system.
