of what can happen when regulatory mechanisms break down and of how much we
have still to learn about the structure and function of the human body.

Virtual Hospital’s "The Human Brain": Dissections of the Real
Brain - This site provides numerous
images of the brain and spinal cord along with descriptions of structure and
function. The text is fairly advanced, but the images are fascinating.

- Connective
Tissue - The main page of this site
describes the cells of connective tissues. Click on the links to the left to
see microscopic photographs of various connective tissue.

Much like the previous two sites, this site offers detail about muscle
